What I do
I provide student centered support as families navigate the special education process. I have years of experience as a teacher, an administrator and as a parent of a child on an IEP. I will get to know your child, your family and the vision that you have. I will act as the liaison between your school district and your family, attending meetings, reviewing evaluations and providing support during the entire process.

Masters in Education, specific training in Special Education Law, Policy and Procedures, taught over 200 students, 2+ years as administrator overseeing the IEP process

About Me
I have been working in the special education field for over 15 years. I have worked with a variety of students as an assitant, a home therapist, a tutor and a teacher. Additionally, I have written hundreds of IEPs and attended as many meetings. I have worked with school districts in many states including Massachusetts, Maine, New York, Maryland, New Jersey and California.
Professional Highlights
I am a masters level teacher with 7+ years of experience working at one of the top boarding schools for students with unique learning needs. I have training in executive functioning supports and strategies, behavior management, phonics based instruction and autism spectrum support. I am currently working on becoming a certified ADHD professional through intensive course work.

As a parent of a child on an IEP myself, I have experience with the IEP process from many different aspects. I remember how overwhelming it was at first. I didn't know who to talk to and spent hours trying to figure out what was best for my child. After years of experience, I want to help others navigate the process with greater ease!
